The PED02M fills the niche for aspiring players and budget-conscious drummers looking to simulate the sound of a real drum set. Using the PED02M is easy and feels just like using a real kit – but without the loud noise that can sometimes bother family and neighbors. Just plug in a set of headphones and you’re ready to jam. It’s equipped with 5 drum pads, 2 cymbal pads, and a bass drum pedal. They’re all super-responsive and velocity-sensitive for a realistic feel. The hi-hat comes with a foot pedal so you can get that ‘open’ or ‘closed’ hi-hat sound. With 11 drum preset kits, you’ll have the entire world of percussive sounds at your fingertips. You can also store your own drum loop. Play it back and adjust the tempo, then play along. Use the included digital metronome to practice to the beat speed of your choice. Record your beats using the built-in MP3 recorder. Play along with your favorite songs by plugging in your CD or MP3 player to the line-in jack. MIDI in/out jacks allow you to wire this up to your existing electronic music setup. Use the USB port to connect to your computer and turn this drum set into a MIDI controller to further expand this kit’s versatility. Check it out- it's got so many fun sounds to play with so, looking to move and expand in different musical directions, this allows plenty of room for that. This electric drum kit has been a life saver though. I'm really happy with all of the features it has and now I get to stay on top of my drumming practice without worrying about bothering anyone with noise. The pads are all really responsive too. Very happy with this overall. The electronic set, I thought would be a good start, so i could try to control his volume. happy i went this route. He is able to practice without bothering the rest of the family, and the ability to pack the kit away easily when needed is fantastic. Cost much less than a traditional set of drums, and a nice way to see if he is going to stick to it. He's had alot of fun with it, and is improving. I'm sure he will continue to enjoy this kit.
